Test I’ve had a big life: I’ve tracked the Great Apes in Uganda, climbed Machu Pichu, swam in the Amazon River, rescued elephants in the jungles of Thailand and baby rhinos in Africa. I learned how to surf at 50, dated 300 hundred men in three years for a story, and raised two kids on my own . . . And I’ve been a writer the entire time. Because I understand that not only do we live our own stories, we need to write them as well.
In my early 20’s I had no idea what I was doing with my life and decided to pursue my secret dream of being a screenwriter. After many fits and starts, bumps, bruises, and skinned knees, I had a draft of my first script, which I was lucky enough to option to Billy Crystal. Since then, I’ve made my living as a professional screenwriter and script consultant. I’ve had films produced, optioned and sold, consulted and covered thousands of scripts, judged major awards and festivals, and written for some of the industry’s top producers and directors.

But what I find the most rewarding is working with writers on a personal level, so I became a screenwriting coach. Now, I help screenwriters find success, experience the excitement and joy of telling their story, and watch them blossom as they are able to form an idea into something exciting, inspiring, and sellable.
